Introduction

This is a type of severe chronic conjunctivitis that occurs after bone marrow transplants or equivalent treatment.

Treatment

  • Preservative free punctal occlusion
  • Measure plugs size all 4 punctae
  • Acetylcysteine Ilube if filaments 5%
  • Warm compresses, 10 minutes
  • Eyelid scrub
  • Erythromycin ointment over margin
  • Doxycycline or azithromycin systemically
  • Omega  3 fish oil
  • Preservative free steroids
  • steroids needed long term Cyclosporine Ikervis or Tacrolimus 
  • Anakinra, serum tears, allogenic serum tears, scleral lenses, severe amg
  • moisture goggles,
